Our
facilities:

A Brief History:
Life Path Church has met in its building
located in Colonia Morelos since 1990.

God provided this facility in a very special
way as a tool for the Church to accomplish
its God-given mission and vision. The location
is unique because it is in a densely populated
area in the center of the city. There are
commercial areas nearby and two metro (subway)
stations within walking distance. The building,
previously a factory, has been adapted to
serve the church’s purposes.
Over the years, the auditorium roof began
to have serious leaking problems even with
annual maintenance. The age of the building
and the structure of the roof were complicating
factors. In June of 2000, the congregation
initiated a fund raising effort to permanently
solve the problem. The Lord blessed those
efforts and, armed with technical advice
about material and methods, workers began
the repair work in August of 2000.
The Unexpected:
Months before we started the roof repairs,
a significantly strong earthquake shook
Mexico City. There had been no apparent
damage to the building. By August 14 the
workers had about 80% of the job completed
on the educational wing of the building.
At noon, they got off the roof to take a
lunch break. A minute after the last worker
had climbed off, the building began to crack
and the entire roof collapsed.

It fell on the first floor
but was sustained by steel I-beams. At the
moment of the accident, there were two women
and a baby inside, but we thank God that
they escaped uninjured. This incident caused
an impact in our area of the city because
the sealing was applied with propane gas
and this began to escape, which caused the
mobilization of emergency units. The local
media, trying to find news, first reported
that the collapsed building was a kindergarten.
They had seen a sign on a Sunday School
classroom identifying it as the “kinder”
age.
